Mothers' Day Breakfast at BDS

We had a fantastic the annual Mothers' Day Breakfast last Friday and there were many mums, aunties and grandmothers came to celebrate with us.

Recount Stories from the Swimming Carnival

Today it was the swimming carnival. Wow! It was fun! In the beginning we played ice-cream cone. I did the wiggle when it was my turn. In the middle we floated on our back. I was very slow. Then at the very end we all did whirlpool. It was so fast that it made me move by itself, but we were not by ourselves. Mrs Giovanni, Mr Hayward, Wayne and Peter were there. When we did ice-cream cone, it was wobbly and weird. /when we floated on our backs it felt nice and I almost went under water. when it was my turn luckily I didn't. When we did whirlpool it was cool and there were like 69 people there. It was legendary event because it was our first time doing the swimming carnival.

Swimming Carnival

My turn had come to float backwards, and I was so nervous. I hopped into the pool and grabbed hold of the board. Then I tipped back, let my legs come off the floor and started to kick slowly. Kick, kick, kick! When I had got to the other side, I held onto the wall and let go of the board. After that I passed the board to the person that was waiting. Then I got our the pool and when I reached the back of the line my brother, Luke and my dad gave me a High-Five! When I gave my brother a high-five, he got annoyed because my hand was wet. My favourite part of the activity was when I knew that moving on my back and when I annoyed Luke by getting his hand wet.
